On Monday, August 11, 2008 the Chicago community is invited to Eat, Enjoy and End Childhood Hunger. More than 25 of Chicago’s top chefs and restaurants, such as Sushi Samba, will unite with National Spokesperson and Honorary Chef Chair David Burke of Primehouse and Celebrity Mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim, featuring "Classic Cocktails from around the World," for Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation. The event will raise funds for the organization’s effort to end childhood hunger in Chicago and across America.

Guests will match their favorite dishes from Blackbird, avec and their new unnamed restaurant with fine wine and cocktails throughout the evening. Celebrity Mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim will lead an interactive mixology station and the event will also include top city mixologists from various restaurants.

The tasting event of the summer will take place at Trump International Hotel & Tower (401 North Wabash St.) from 6 to 9 p.m. General event tickets cost $150 per person; VIP reserved seating for lounges for 8 people are $1500. Guests can purchase tickets online and by calling 1-877-26Taste. A portion of ticket purchases are tax-deductible, and 100% of the ticket proceeds will support the cause!
